Our Privacy Statement
What we want to say is that we know who you are, and we know what you bought, but... we aren't going to tell anyone. Besides, other firms have way more information about you than we ever would expect you to give us. You should be worrying about them.

What the lawyers want us to say, DressThatMan.com Incorporated has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy and any exceptions to that credo. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this site and informs you that if we are required to do so by law, for instance, in response to a court order or a subpoena, we may have to disclose any information we have about you. We may also disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's request without a court order. The truth is that we really don't know why that would possibly happen, but we had to say it anyway. The only information we would have would be pertaining to your order. Aside from that legal caveat, we won't sell, share, giveaway, or otherwise taint your well earned reputation by spreading vicious rumors about you whether they are true or not. Although we were briefly tempted to go around screaming that you have exquisite taste in clothing, we figured that when you wear anything you've bought from us it pretty much speaks for itself.

We may use IP addresses which are not linked to personally identifiable information in log files to analyze trends and gather a broad range of information in which we can use to make improvements to the site. We take every precaution to protect our users personal information.

ATTENTION SCAMMERS: The one exception to our privacy policy rule of NOT disclosing personal information you have submitted that we have obtained via our shopping cart, is as follows: if you place a fraudulent order or suspected fraudulent order, place a foreign order using a credit card issued in the USA, repeatedly attempt to order to a delivery address with various credit cards, or... issue a chargeback in which we have proof that merchandise was delivered to you - your name, delivery address, email address used, and other identifiable information gathered will be turned over to the proper authorities.

We will never send you unwanted mail. If you choose to join any mailing lists connected with DressThatMan, we'll have an easy method for you to "opt-out" if you ever change your mind. Unwanted and spam mail is a hassle.

We reserve the right to make changes to our policies at any time. Any changes made to DressThatMan.com's policies will be updated here. The bottom line is and always will be that we are committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure. On the other hand, you have our permission to talk about us freely. Shameless public plugs are encouraged. This includes our expressed consent to say, write or sing the praises of "DressThatMan.com" in all forms of media. This permission is also extended to banners behind airplanes, smoke signals, morse code, tattoos and crop circles.

Whether it is actually considered highly intellectual or not may be debatable, nevertheless here's the legal mumbo jumbo you need to know so we don't have to be placed in a position of firing up our ready and willing legal brigade on yo azz… all of the creative works in written text and in graphic representation that appear on the DressThatMan.com site are the property of DressThatMan.com and its parent company and or affiliated agencies and may not be reproduced in whole or part for business or commercial use without our expressed written consent. All photographs, images and illustrations including graphic designs pertaining to, and original text created for the use of DressThatMan.com are considered a collective of copyrighted creative works owned by DressThatMan.com and its parent company and affiliates.

You are prohibited using these collective copyrighted works owned by DressThatMan.com in any shape or form without our expressed written consent. This prohibited use includes reproducing, publishing, distributing, displaying, modifying or creating derivative works from, or from the exploitation, in whole or part, by utilizing any of the creative works displayed or connected to DressThatMan.com Incorporated.

All registered trademarks appearing on the site are the property of their respective owners. DressThatMan.com Incorporated and its affiliates are not currently associated with any one label in the men's fashion industry, although we may represent many established companies within our collection, the original manufacturers retain sole rights to their copyrighted materials including trademarked names, logos and particular styling associated with their manufacturing practices.


Customer Gallery Photographs
All of the photographs of people in our Customer Gallery have given us permission to use their likeness in the Gallery by sending a photo or photographs to us. These photographs may be used in the DressThatMan blog for announcing or promoting the Funky Fashion Hall of Fame and/or for soliciting new customers to join the gallery, but will never be used for marketing the site in any other way without the expressed consent of persons depicted. Last names and/or email links are never associated with the photographs. If you purchase an article of clothing and would like to be in the the Funky Fashion Hall of Fame, otherwise known as DressThatMan's Customer Gallery, please send a jpeg file or files to Sam's attention at the email address shown here.

Customers in the Gallery may be granted special privileges in the form of private sales and special offers on a random basis throughout the year, if you'd like to be in the gallery but would rather not be offered any special offers, just let us know and we'll take you off the list. These special offers are not transferable and can only be used by the men in the Customer Gallery.

Our customers rock! Of course, if you are a band member and would like to have a link to your band's site, (or another site you are affiliated with at our discretion) send that information along with the jpeg and we'll hook you up with a link from your gallery shot.

We shouldn't have to tell you not to send us any pornographic or nude shots, but we are, so don't. Ugh. We love our customers, but... the aim here is to DressThatMan. So, if you'd like to be in the Customer Gallery and you've bought a shirt, please supply your own pants. Although, we could always cover your naughty bits and publish it anyway.

This site contains links to other sites that we believe you will appreciate. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of sites outside of our own. Our privacy policy relates solely to our site. On any link in which you are directed away from our site, please check their respective policies.

Let us know where you put the link and if your site meets our requirements, we'll provide a link back to you. What are our requirements? Mainly, that you have a site that would be of interest to the men that visit our site.

Occasionally DressThatMan.com may sponsor contests which will require information from the participants. Users involvement is voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information to enter. Information requested may include contact information including a valid e-mail address. Any contact information obtained will be used only to notify the winner or winners and to award prizes. Personal information obtained in this manner is subject to our privacy policy and will not be used in any other manner.



DressThatMan.com: Secure Shopping Site
We are confident our site is secure! The payment end of the site uses SSL - Short for Secure Sockets Layer. This is the Internet electronic transaction protocol used to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers. By convention, URLs that require an SSL connection start with https, and if you are looking for it, you'll see that when you go through the checkout process itself. The fact is your credit card information is never even revealed to the staff at DressThatMan.com because it is encrypted during the checkout process when it is processed through our payment gateway.

Your personal information is actually more secure here than if you allow someone to pick up your credit card and walk away with it to process your payment for dinner at a restaurant.



DressThatMan.com: Fraud Prevention
Regarding both Domestic and International Orders, we reserve the right to refuse a sale. We also reserve the right to ban your IP address from accessing our servers. We also reserve the right to refuse a sale to any country in which fraud is a known and prevelant issue. If we feel that a purchase may be fraudulent, or we are simply invoking a random check, we may request additional proof of identification. In particular, any large Domestic or International orders from new customers, please be aware that you may be asked to fax us picture ID and other forms of identification which shows your current address - which matches the shipping address of your order so that we can confidently process it. We're happy to say that overall we've been more than pleased with our Domestic and International Customers. Yet, it's an unfortunate reality that fraud and identity theft is a serious issue worldwide.

How we protect YOU against Credit Card Fraud
When using a credit card during the checkout process, our shopping cart requires the input of a CCV number. What's that? It's an authentication verification number established by credit card companies to reduce fraud for internet and mail order transactions. It consists of requiring a card holder to enter the CCV number during the checkout time to verify that the card is on hand. This increases our commitment to protect DressThatMan customers from fraud and reduces our exposure to fraudulent charges.

If you request that your order is shipped to an alternate address, to prevent ourselves and consumers against fraud, you may be required to furnish via FAX any or all of the following information before we will ship your order: a copy of your current drivers license or other photo id, a copy of the credit card used for the transaction, the name of the issuing bank and telephone number which appears on the back of the card, and/or your signature on a copy of the order placed. We reserve the right to refuse any shipment at our discretion. No express orders will be shipped to an alternate address unless we have ALL of the above information faxed to us.

Credit Card Fraud
We will NOT ship any merchandise out of the US that is placed by a consumer in the USA or, vice versa - we suggest that you receive the merchandise at your residence and re-mail the package yourself. We accept all orders from the originating country only.

Our server logs all orders - even those that have failed, along with your IP address of your computer. If you are attempting to place a fraudulent order by using credit cards that are in question as to whether they are yours, or using a proxy service in an attempt to hide or mask your true IP address we will compile this information including the address you are attempting to have merchandise delivered to, and turn it over to the proper authorities and your order will not be processed even IF you manage to get it through. We take fraud and identity theft very seriously at DressThatMan.com.

This disclaimer of liability also applies to any damages or injury, including but not limited to those caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, transmission of computer viruses, communication line failure, negligence or harm or under any other theory or cause of action for end users of DressThatMan.com which also includes products purchased from this site. DressThatMan.com does NOT engage in email spamming or in malicious mailings of any type. We do not send out disguised attachments containing computer viruses, trojans or malware that will threaten, hack, give unauthorized users access to, or harm end users and their computer equipment. DO NOT OPEN EMAIL ATTACHMENTS. The most common form of computer viruses is by email attachments. PROTECT YOURSELF BY USING A REPUTABLE ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM. The user specifically acknowledges that DressThatMan is not liable for the conduct of other users, links or third parties, specifically third parties spoofing our email address to send viruses and malware, and that the risk of harm from the foregoing and the use of the DressThatMan.com site and the products obtained and or purchased via this site rests entirely with the end user.
