Clearly vintage martial arts - the voices in our heads say it's a 1970's because of the colors (gold and black) and style. Bruce lee was fond of these colors - we really have no idea of it's history. The patch on the back is a big fist and "Grice" and something japanesse is embroidered on the chest. Having spent over an hour searching the net for anything similar, we came up with zero. The collar is padded and the fabric is smooth but coarse for silk and there are asian symbols woven into the gold fabric. It is lined with what feels like nylon. There are no labels of anykind, we assume made to order. What we do know is it is RARE and would make a fantastic one of a kind gift for a martial arts enthusiast. The condition is good vintage, however there are a few very small black marks here and there. We have not attempted to clean it - not knowing the fabric it needs a specialist.
