1950s Mcgregor gabardine retro jacket 44L tall man

Mcgregor 1950's navy blue gabardine polyester ricky jacket. Rare LONG / tall fit unusual on a 50's jacket. This rockin' little jacket has the big collar and the TALON metal zipper. In good condition for 50's there are signs of wear (well who wouldnt wear it) but no major flaws. Unlined so nice and cool for the heat waves we are enduring this summer. Are you surprised that polyester was popular in the 50's ? Here are a few history facts for you: In 1941 the british created the first polyester fiber called Terylene. In 1946 duPont bought all legal rights from the Brits and came up with another polyester fiber which they named Dacron. Polyester was first introduced to the American public in 1951. It was advertised as a miracle fiber that could be worn for 68 days straight without ironing and still look presentable. So there you go a miracle fiber jacket that is waiting to put a little swing into your swagger. Check the measurements below carefully.
