This is a VERY early Penney's label at the latest 50's but it could even be 1940's. It is labled Outerwear and is fully lined with a silver grey sateen type fabric. The main body feels like silky woven rayon and the arms and trim feel like a heavily textured woven cotton. It resembles a cardigan with a collar and two elasticated sections in the waist band, but much heavier duty than a cardigan. Still black and in very good condition for its age, the buttons are large metallic discs. Far from your average 50s attire - this is something very special.
