Yep every guy needs a couple of good suits to dress up in the cooler months. Looking at the fall fashion magazines like GQ you can see a vintage influence on this years designer suits. Ralph Lauren has suits sporting very straight 60’s reminiscent pants with narrow lapels. Burberry models are sporting tapered legs and ruffled shirts. Other designers like Zegna have a broad array of styles. Pleated pants, flat front – boot cut, wide leg, narrow lapels and wide lapels. So what do YOU wear? Basically this year it would appear what ever feels comfortable and you feel confident in goes. We of course endorse deadstock vintage as a way of staying unique and looking incredibly cool on a budget. This Michael stern 2 button closure, single vent jacket with flat front and slightly tapered legs is a classy suit. Dark brown with subtle blue and orange pinstripes 45% wool and 55 dacron polyester will keep you uniquely dressed and perfectly styled. The pants are not hemmed and will require a tailor to perfect them to your inseam measurements. The suit was priced at $115 in the early 70’s and using the inflation calculator we can tell you that would be worth $560 today. The quality and cut of the suit justifies the cost.
